Radiation Oncology Victoria Enterprise Agreement voted up
After more than 6 months of negotiations, agreement was finally reached on the renewal of the enterprise agreement covering medical physicists employed by EMROC, a private provider of radiation therapy, trading as Radiation Oncology Victoria.
Under the new agreement, rates for physicists in Victoria will be increased progressively over the life of the agreement, to match the rates paid to physicists in NSW. The Agreement has now been voted on and approved by members. The next step is for the Agreement to go to the Fair Work Commission for its approval, and will come into effect seven days after it is approved.
This is a great result for members. The job representatives who took part in the negotiations with the MSAV industrial staff should be congratulated for their persistence, advocacy and attention to detail.
