PCM-Australia ImageIt’s time for urgent action to avoid a global climate catastrophe.

Like you, we know, that the impacts of climate change will seriously challenge the health system in Australia. And like you we know that we’re already experiencing the impacts of climate change with more frequent extreme weather events with the bushfire season starting earlier and lasting longer.

And with Australia taking a weak plan for climate action and reduction targets that are far too low, it’s up to us to change the Government’s direction.

That’s why on Friday the Union will be joining with other unions, organisations and people for the People’s Climate March to tell our leaders here in Australia to have a genuine plan to combat climate change at the Paris conference.

Join the Union’s contingent for the Melbourne march at 5.15pm on Friday 27 November at 62 Lygon St, Carlton. RSVP at http://www.peoplesclimate.org.au/

Scientists, psychologists, pharmacists, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, health students and others will march because we want our leaders to listen to our communities and help us build a healthier and fairer future for all. It’s up to us in the health system that know better than most how climate change will have a serious negative impact on the health and lifestyles of all Australians.

Join the Union’s contingent at 5.15pm at 62 Lygon St, Carlton wearing the colour white to be a part of the largest ever global mobilisation of support for action on climate change to protect our health and wellbeing. RSVP at: http://www.peoplesclimate.org.au/

Together we can have a real impact on demanding a safe climate.
