What is Happening with the Negotiations?
According to the Minister for Health “the parties are very close” and “there have been some significant movements in recent weeks”. The Minister also stated that he was looking forward to a ‘conclusion to this EBA which is fair to the physicists, the Union and the taxpayers’. We note that he failed to mention cancer sufferers.
The only “significant movements” that we are aware of are two offers that were put to us and then whisked off the table.
The Minister is quoted in the Herald-Sun as saying that he wants us to get back to the negotiating table. We say put an offer on the table and we will be there. He knows our telephone number. We look forward to his call.
Until that happens industrial action will continue.
