EASTERN HEALTH PATHOLOGY RATIONALISATION
Angliss Laboratory closure to be reviewed.
We are informed by Eastern Health that the closure of Angliss laboratory will not go ahead, and that Eastern Health now plans to review the plans for point of care testing and to look at an alternative model.
We hope this will involve extensive consultation prior to implementation. Well done to our members who asked many, many questions about the model and the introduction of Point of Care instrumentation.
Please keep the Union office up to date with any consultations that occur.
We expect Eastern Health to provide the Union with an Impact Statement if any changes are proposed to the pathology service at Angliss or any other site.
As a consequence of Eastern Health withdrawing its proposals, we have withdrawn the Union’s dispute notification which we had lodged with Fair Work Australia.
