We know budget constrains are having an impact. But we don’t know the extent of those impacts.
To-date we have heard about recruitment freezes for new colleagues. We know there are freezes on hiring staff to fill vacancies and there have been instances where members’ requests for professional development have been rejected, including where such requests were initially approved and then revoked.
These are only the impacts that we know about.
However, we are certain there are other impacts affecting you and your workplace. Have you had leave requests refused? What about requests to access Long Service Leave? Have there been programs that are facing closure? Were there workplace improvements to be made that have now been put on hold or scrapped entirely?
To best advocate for members, and to ensure that your voice is heard about these impacts, we need to hear for you!
